Great weekend at the SIP!!

What a great weekend. Fun show in a unique environment of The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. SIP has been an annual event for 24 years, put it on your calendar for March 2018. Keep checking in for future shows and galleries!

My next show

In my haste posting yesterday, I forgot to include a picture AND forgot to tell you about my first show of the season:

SIP! McMinnville Wine & Food Classic, Evergreen Space Museum

500 NE Captain Michael King Smith Way, McMinnville, OR 97128

Friday, March 10th — 3pm to 9pm

Saturday, March 11th — 12pm to 9pm

Sunday, March 12th — 12pm to 5pmEgyptian and French (pair)

Spring is around the corner (don’t know which corner yet)

Rainy days are great for artistic inspiration

I took a little down time in my glass making but am getting excited and recharged now.  I had some of my pieces photographed by an awesome local photographer Dan Kvitka.  Google his name and you will be in for a treat.  I realized I needed a pro to take pictures for the juried art shows I want to enter ( iPhones just don’t do it).

I keep trying to stretch myself creatively.  With glass that sometimes means full trash cans.  But without failures, how do I grow?  I have to be happy with what I do.

So, I will let you know when I find out in what shows I will take part.  For now, I will continue to create, enjoy and stretch!  Peace, Carol Bresky

Last of my summer sales…On to the fall

This summer has been wonderful.  The best part was spending time with our children and their families.  It would be wonderful if they lived closer but they are just a flight away!

The shows this summer were fewer in number but all quality shows.  In June I had my studio open to the public for Open Studios of Beavercreek.  An added bonus was sharing my property with 2 other artists, Anita Reuther and Cherilyn Sunridge.  We spent a lot of time laughing, good therapy.

My second show was The Lake Oswego Festival of Arts.  We were blessed to not have the heat of 2015.  The art was quality and the patrons seemed to enjoy the festival.  I hope to continue with this show, close to home and good customers.

My last summer show was The Sunriver Art Faire.  This is my 4th year participating in this event.  The Sunriver Women’s Club knows how to run a show and take care of their artists.  Quality artists and patrons.  I speak to a lot of artists at this show, many who sell their art full-time and travel thousands of miles throughout the year. A LOT of work.

Fall is my favorite season.  I love the colors, smells, lighting, the crisp mornings and the slowing pace.  Open Studios of Beavercreek has 2 shows a year.  October 7-9, I will again have my studio open. is the website.  It will be updated in the next month or so.  I will have new pieces as well as seasonal pieces, great for gifts
